CONTACTS

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS:

NO NEW TERMS

KEYS YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW:

Windows keys: control shift c

Screen reader keys: no new screen reader keys

EXPLANATION:

1)     By default when you reply to a message the contact information is automatically saved in contacts. If it does not go to Tools/Options/Send page tab and check the box that says “Automatically put people I reply to in my Contacts list”.

2)     To view your current contacts you can press control shift c or go to tools/windows contacts.

3)     To add a contact manually, go to your contact list and then go to File/new/contact. This will open the properties page. In this window you enter the information asked for in each field and tab from field to field. This is a multipage dialogue box so you can press control tab to access each page tab to enter more information about the contact.

4)     After you enter the email address of a contact you must tab to the Add button and press the space bar (this adds the email to a list below the email edit field). After doing that the focus is put back in the email edit field in case you want to put additional email address relating to that contact (a lot of people have more than one email address). When you are finished entering information press enter to save the information and that will close that window.

5)     To edit contact information that is already saved go to the contact you wish to change and open it with enter. You can edit information in most of the fields by just typing the change in that field. To edit the email you do something a little different. Tab through the Name and E-mail page till you actually hear the email address then tab again to the Edit button and press the space bar; then you can make changes to the email address. Press enter when your changes are completed and enter again to save and close the window.
