EXPLANATION: An
example of a form is the test that you take at the end of each lesson. In that
form you have one edit field for your email, 10 questions with radio buttons, of
which you can only choose one answer and one button that causes an event to
occur; the event is that the test gets emailed to me. You can navigate the form
one line at a time using standard reading commands of your screen reader. To
enter information in the form you must turn forms mode on, which is done by
pressing the enter key. You may need to turn forms mode off in order to
continue reading the form correctly. Forms mode is turned off with numpad +.
With forms mode on you can type in an edit field and you can press the space
bar to choose an item with a check box or radio button. To activate a button
you press the space bar. With JAWS you can generate a list of form fields using
ins f5 and then arrow through the list to locate a particular form field. Once
you find the field you press enter to navigate there and forms mode will be
activated. From the top of the web page you can locate the first form field by
pressing the letter f. If you continue to press f you will navigate to the next
form field; shift f will take you backwards through form fields.
