JAWS HELP PRACTICE

 

1)     Open windows help and support which is found in the start menu

2)     Press the control key to stop Jaws talking

3)     Make sure the title of the window is Windows Help and Support

4)     Press insert f1

5)     How many links does the page contain

6)     What do you press for a list of links

7)     How does it say to exit forms mode

8)     Press the link that says List JAWS Hotkeys

9)     How do you close Jaws at any time

10)  Close the virtual viewer

11)  Make sure you are on the Windows Help and Support

12)  Press insert f1 twice quickly

13)  What did Jaws say

14)  You will be looking for Using the Jaws Cursor topic under the contents page tab

15)  Open the Jaws manual from the Jaws interface

16)  Arrow to the Using Jaws book and open it

17)  Arrow to the About Cursors book and open it

18)  Arrow to Using the Jaws Cursor topic

19)  Access the information with enter and f6 to read the first few paragraphs

20)  Press f6 to go back to the other window pane

21)  Switch to the index page tab

22)  Type in the word links

23)  Press enter and access that information and read about Moving to Links

24)  Press f6 to go back to the other window pane

25)  Switch to the search page tab

26)  Type in Internet Explorer and press enter

27)  Tab to the search results list view

28)  Arrow down to hear all the results and press enter and f6 to read information about any of them

29)  Press f6 to go back to the other window pane

30)  Switch to the glossary page tab

31)  In the term list box you use arrow keys, to hear the definition of a term use tab

32)  For example, arrow to Icon or use first letter navigation by pressing the letter i

33)  Press tab to hear the definition

34)  Using insert down arrow to read the whole definition

35)  Read at least 3 more terms and definitions
